reign of fire (c’mon, it has monsters AND hot guys)

I’m sick and watching TV, and suddenly, flipping through the channels, what do I spot on 4+ if not Reign Of Fire?

Shit, I think I’m the only one who saw that when it came out, which is strange because, whatever flaw you may accuse it of, it has at least four things of pure awesomeness – Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, Gerard Butler and goddamn DRAGONS. Man, I love dragons. And I’m kinda partial to Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey and Gerard Butler too, so this is one HECK of a movie if you ask me. So yeah, it has some corny moments but I like the concept (dragons wake up and bring on Armageddon) and dragons are so immensely more beautiful and poetic than say, Godzilla and King Kong. Like, if I had to be killed by a monster, I’d totes want it to be a dragon.

And it has some great quotes – I mean, who does not regularly find themselves in situations when “Dig hard, dig deep, go for shelter, and never look back” is appropriate? And “Only one thing worse than a dragon… Americans” is a given fave quote, quite obviously.
